2nd Team Meeting Highlights

Fine Art Photograph by Sarah McTernen

Our 2nd Team meeting was great! We had the opportunity to meet a local photographer and crafter, Sally. We are organizing a community event to create greeting cards for deployed military service members, and we ate the lovely food made at the Mandolin Cafe in north Tacoma. The evening was a lot of fun!

Promotional Sites Online and Offline

As we all know there are a ton of websites that you can promote on from Google to Plaincraft.com and beyond. In this post, which will be updated now and then, we will share with you sites that are available, which ones are free and which require monetary investments.

If you have any sites that you would like to add to this list, feel free to email me or Cat at etsyteamtac@gmail.com

Online
100 Craft Links - free and easy to set up
AdWords - Google site where you set your monthly budget
Free Craft Fair - you can sign up to be in their directory for free.
Blockhead Radio - A varitey of advertising opportunities
Handmade Marketing - Starts at $15.00 for 2 weeks

Team T.A.C. launches!

Hello, world! The first south Puget Sound area Etsy team greets you!

Over the past several weeks, a small group of Etsy sellers has been exchanging ideas and voting on team names in order to found the first Etsy street team composed of sellers in the greater Tacoma, WA, area. Our team name stands for Tahoma Artisan Community, and reflects our desire to create connections between artisans as well as build stronger ties to our local community. We're lucky enough to do all this under the shadow of Mt Tahoma (aka Mt Rainier) and we're proud to carry its name.

We're happy to introduce ourselves as a fledgling Etsy team, and hope that you'll stay in touch with our progress!

Want to join?
If you're a seller in the south sound area and you're interested in joining up, step up! You can join our Google Group by following this link.

Ideas? Suggestions?
If you have suggestions for events and promotions that our new team should consider, we'd like to hear them as well.

Stay tuned for future postings to include more information on our team's hopes and dreams, as well as some member introductions.
